Applying with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
Entry and eligibility
Curtin University welcomes applications from International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students. Domestic IB students are eligible to apply if they have:
- achieved a full IB Diploma with a minimum score of 24 points in six subjects.
- fulfilled Curtin University’s English proficiency requirements.
- fulfilled Curtin University’s course prerequisite requirements if applicable.
The following programs of study, including innovative double degree programs are available at Curtin:
High achieving IB students with scores above 24 are also encouraged to apply for more selective programs, subject to meeting course prerequisites and English requirements:

IB diploma students are eligible to apply for scholarships at Curtin as part of Curtin’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence, supporting research and enabling students from all backgrounds to realise their potential.
Credit for recognised learning
Subject to individual assessment, CRL for courses within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma toward certain Curtin award programs may be possible. Please refer to our CRL guidelines for more information.
Applications and admissions
Australian citizens and permanent residents of Australia should apply for semester one intake admission through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC).
Australian citizens and permanent residents of Australia should apply for semester two intake admission by submitting an application to Curtin University.
Curtin University welcomes applications from International IB students who may apply directly to Curtin via the online application service.
