The Student Exchange program is ideal if your university has a formal Student Exchange agreement with Curtin. Curtin’s agreement with your university means you don’t need to pay tuition fees to Curtin – just continue to pay tuition fees to your home university as normal. Through the program, you can study at Curtin for one or two semesters.
In light of the ongoing travel restrictions and border closures, Curtin Perth will be suspending our Study Abroad, Service Abroad and Student Exchange Programs for Semester 1, 2022. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
Your international student exchange office will liaise with the Curtin Go Global team about your placement at Curtin. Once your application is accepted, our office will provide you with support and information to assist your arrival. When you arrive at Curtin, you will have access to our full range of student services and continued assistance from Curtin Go Global.
To find out if your university has a student exchange agreement with Curtin, contact your university’s student exchange office.
How to apply
Applications for the Student Exchange program are subject to the following deadlines:
- For a first semester (February to June), your application must be received by October 15 in the year prior to your placement.
- For a second semester (July to November), your application must be received by April 15 in the year of your placement.
During your exchange, you will continue to pay your tuition fees to your home institution. You are responsible for covering any costs associated with your exchange, including accommodation, living expenses, airfares and other travel expenses, your Australian student visa and compulsory Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
