Early offers for 2024

Considering university in 2024? Applications for semester 1, 2024 are now open.

Find out how to apply and secure your early offer at Curtin.

How do early offers work for year 12 ATAR students?

If you’re currently completing year 12, you can now apply to study at Curtin via TISC. If you’re eligible, you’ll receive an early offer to study with us before you’ve even finished year 12.

Early offers are available for most Curtin courses. If you choose an eligible Curtin course as your first preference in TISC, your year 11 results will be used to calculate your predicted ATAR. Early offers will start to be released from 17 July and will then be sent out every third Monday of each month.

My predicted ATAR is five points above my course ATAR

If your predicted ATAR is five points above the ATAR score required for your selected course, you’ll receive an early offer that secures your place in semester 1, 2024. Your offer won’t be dependent on your final year 12 ATAR score.

You’ll still need to complete WACE and meet the English and subject requirements for your course.

If your predicted ATAR is less than five points above the ATAR score required for your course, you’ll still receive an early offer for a place at Curtin.

You’ll need to achieve a final ATAR that meets course entry requirements, and meet WACE, English and subjects requirements for the course.

If you’ve applied for entry via Certificate IV or UniReady in Schools, your early offer will be conditional upon you meeting the admission criteria for your chosen pathway, achieving WACE and meeting Curtin’s English requirements.

If you don’t achieve the admission criteria this year, we can help you explore your options. See our pathways tool and Find U quiz to learn more.

How to apply as a year 12 student

If you’re ready to apply for an early offer, apply via TISC.

  1. Choose your course

Search our courses and find the one that’s right for you.

  2. Check the admission criteria

Check that you’re on track to meet the admission criteria for your preferred course. You can find this on your selected course page.

If you’re not studying ATAR subjects, there are plenty of alternative pathways into Curtin. Use the Pathways Finder to find out more.

  3. Apply via TISC

Applying for an early offer is easy:

    • Visit the TISC website and select your chosen Curtin course as your first preference
    • Your eligibility will be assessed based on your year 11 WACE result
    • If you meet the eligibility requirements, you’ll receive an early offer from Monday 17 July 2023. This is due to an agreement in place with all WA universities to send year 12 early offers after Term 2.

The last date to apply and be considered for an early offer is Friday 1 December, however applications will remain open via TISC until 18 December. Applicants who submit their preferences during this time will receive the outcome of their application in the main round of offers. See the TISC website for important dates.

Don’t worry if you have a change of heart. You’ll have the flexibility to change your TISC preferences at any point throughout the year.

How do early offers work for year 12 non-ATAR students?

Early offers are available for a number of courses that allow non-ATAR entry. If you choose an eligible Curtin course as your first preference in TISC, your application will be assessed on your current results. Early offers are contingent upon meeting the admission criteria for your chosen pathway, achieving WACE and meeting Curtin’s English requirements.

How to apply if you are not a year 12 student

If you’re coming from TAFE, completed year 12 previously, switching universities, or applying via another non-school leaver pathway, you can apply directly to Curtin.

Applying direct to Curtin is easy. Simply visit your preferred course page and click onto ‘Apply Now’.
