Industry experience

The best way to learn is by doing. In your course, you’ll have opportunities to undertake placements in industry or work on projects that have real-world application.

You could help treat patients through a clinical placement in a hospital or health centre, or you could apply your skills at one of our student-led, interdisciplinary clinics, which provide health services to the community.

You’ll be ready for professional work by practising in our immersive facilities, which include a model pharmacy, simulated hospital ward and clinical consulting rooms.

For our online students, we’ll organise fieldwork that you can undertake once you arrive in Perth.

You can increase your career prospects through networking events, training sessions, professional development and industry guest lectures. Through these experiences, you’ll learn the latest issues in your sector and expand your networks.

Don’t worry – if you’re studying online, you’ll have these same opportunities as soon as you arrive in Perth.
