This is an engaging, industry-relevant course for professionals who wish to change their career to finance.

It will provide you with a strong understanding of financial accounting, financial principles, econometrics and economics, and help you apply your knowledge to current financial issues and trends in the workplace.

On graduation you may choose to extend your studies to the Master of Commerce (Applied Finance).

To be in a finance career you must be outgoing and inquisitive. You’ll need to be good at mathematics, but you must also be good at communicating with people. Therefore education, intelligence and personality are all taken into account for finance jobs.

Admission criteria

What you need in order to get into this course. There are different pathway options depending on your level of work and education experience.

A bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a field of study other than finance, or significant relevant work experience (typically three to five years). Applicants must also meet Curtin's English language proficiency requirements.
