Outline

This course can serve as your entry pathway to the Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is also a challenging stand-alone course giving you the option to specialise in oil and gas or business or to tailor your studies to suit your needs by choosing from a wide range of business topics.

This course offers you a foundation in leadership studies and business management. You will complete one core unit studying organisational behaviour at an individual, group and organisational level, exploring issues that are changing the way work is conducted and managed today. The rest of your units will depend on your chosen major: oil and gas or business.

  • have a thorough foundation of contemporary business theories, concepts and principles and be able to apply these in a group or organisational environment.

Admission criteria

What you need in order to get into this course. There are different pathway options depending on your level of work and education experience.

A bachelor degree plus at least three years work experience.

Applications may be considered from those who do not have a bachelor degree provided they have significant work experience at a recognisable level of responsibility.

You will be required to submit supplementary information with your application.

Note: All applicants will need to submit a copy of their CV/Resume highlighting prior work experience and roles that they have held.

Curtin requires all applicants to demonstrate proficiency in English. Specific English requirements for this course are outlined in the IELTS table below.

If you’re applying for the Graduate Certificate in Business (GC-BUSI) or Graduate Diploma in Business (GD-BUSI) course, please select the ‘How to Apply’ button for further instructions. All applicants will need to submit a copy of their CV/resume highlighting prior work experience and roles that they have held.
