This stream is tailored towards applicants who are registered as an AQF Diploma level 5 Enrolled Nurse. It will give you the qualification you need to become a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

In this stream, you will increase your knowledge of the biological, behavioural and nursing sciences, and study the relationship between individuals, their families and communities, to deliver appropriate patient-centred care.

Your learning will involve interprofessional education, allowing you to study with different nursing and medical specialists from a range of fields. This will increase your interdisciplinary knowledge and help solidify your position as an active, contributing member of an interprofessional healthcare team.

You will complete a minimum of 680 hours of professional placements in diverse clinical settings, including public hospitals and private practice in both metropolitan and rural locations.

You will at times be required to complete your placement at a pre-approved workplace in Perth if you need to practice in specialist areas, such as in critical care.

This stream is offered within the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) degree. To apply for this stream, please apply for the Bachelor of Science (Nursing).
